BALLET

Classes are thoughtfully structured by age and experience, starting with creative movement and basic positions for younger dancers, and progressing to more detailed technique and choreography as dancers grow.

JAZZ
Jazz is a high-energy dance style that blends sharp movements, fluid transitions, and lots of personality. It’s a fun and engaging way for dancers to build strength, flexibility, and performance skills—all while moving to upbeat, age-appropriate music.
Classes are organized by age and skill level, so whether dancers are just starting out or have years of experience, they'll be challenged in a supportive environment. Jazz technique includes kicks, turns, jumps, and combinations that help dancers grow in precision, style, and stage presence.

TAP
Tap is all about rhythm, sound, and making music with your feet! Dancers learn to create clear, rhythmic patterns using footwork, timing, and coordination—all while building musicality and control.
Classes are grouped by age and skill level, starting with basic sounds and simple rhythms for younger dancers, and progressing to more intricate steps, combinations, and syncopation as they advance. Tap is not only a fun way to develop timing and precision, but it also helps dancers grow in focus, listening skills, and stage confidence.

HIP-HOP
Hip-Hop is a high-energy, expressive dance style rooted in rhythm, freestyle, and individuality. Dancers learn age-appropriate choreography influenced by street styles, including popping, locking, grooves, and footwork—all set to fun, upbeat music.
Classes are tailored by age and experience level, allowing dancers to build confidence, coordination, and musicality in a supportive, encouraging space. Hip hop is a favorite for students who love to move with attitude, express themselves, and bring their own personality to the dance floor.

ACRO
Acro focuses on developing tumbling and trick skills like handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, bridges, and more ~ building strength, flexibility, and control. Our classes follow the Acrobatic Arts curriculum, ensuring safe progression through these exciting acrobatic movements.
While acro complements dance by enhancing body awareness and coordination, the main focus is on mastering dynamic tricks and tumbling skills that challenge and empower dancers of all ages and levels.
At NIDA, acro offers a fun, energetic way to boost athleticism and confidence, adding impressive skills that enhance any dancer’s overall performance.

POINTE
Pointe is an advanced level of ballet that allows dancers to perform on the tips of their toes, showcasing strength, grace, and technical precision. This class is for experienced ballet students who have developed the proper technique, strength, and maturity required for safe pointe work.
Training focuses on building foot and ankle strength, alignment, and control, while continuing to develop classical ballet technique. Pointe is typically offered by instructor recommendation only, as readiness varies by dancer.

Pointe I (Level 4) ~ Pointe II (Level 5)
MODERN
Our modern classes blend the freedom of expression with strong technique, encouraging dancers to explore movement in new and creative ways.
